ABOUT THE COURSE


The Microsoft Word Essential course is a 6-hour practice-based training program that teaches participants to become efficient in the application of the tools and features of the software and become able to function effectively in an office environment. The course is part of the ICT Foundation pgrogramme which leads to the award of a certificate of participation.


Course Outline


DAY 1 - Introduction to MS Word 

1.       Understanding MS Word menu

2.       Setting the Header and Footer of a document

3.       Formatting and the use of style


DAY 2 - Features and their Application

1.       Use of spell check and grammar features

2.       Inserting an object in a document

3.       Creating mailing list, address labels and envlops

PREREQUISITES


Basic knowledge about the use of and functions of the computer system is desirable, though not required. 


Requirements

An application (such as GoToMeeting) is required to participate in the programme and for writing your assignments you must have a Gmail account. If you don't already have any of these, you will be provided sources for free, user friendly applications.

You will only be allow to participate in the course after you payment has been confirmed. The Digital Marketing Foundation course is intended for students with no previous experience who are seeking beginner level training.

Our e-Learning Model: The lessons are video sessions, followed by discussions between the intructor and students to review topics for the day. At the end of the session on Day II,  students will have group discussion of the assignments with the instructor. At the end of the course, students can apply for their certificate.
