At the completion of this HAZOP Risk Assessment Methodology course, participants will have better Understand the various techniques of risk analysis and perform a risk analysis, evaluation and assessment, use standard risk assessment tools like FMEA, FTA, PHA, HAZOP and HACCP. Participants will also learn to use the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis FMEA technique, and can equally  use the Fault Tree Analysis FTA technique and the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point HACCP technique. 

Additionally, they will be able to use the Preliminary Hazard Analysis PHA technique and the Hazard and Operability Study HAZOP technique and will also be able to adapt and use the risk analysis techniques in a flexible way to virtually every field of work

ABOUT THE COURSE

 

Besides risk management, risk assessment is demanded in many field, like product development, process control, project management, business plans and so on. Even a process as simple as delivering a meal in a business activity, is subject by law to a specific risk assessment. In this course, we will cover both the common basis and the specific tools.

The course will touch both the general part and the particular techniques lessons are fitted with examples and downloadable excel worksheets. At the end of the course, you will be able to master both the basic concepts and specific techniques, and you will be able to apply and adapt this knowledge to your field of interest.

DAY III: HAZOP Preparation and Reporting

DAY IV: Workshop and Exercises

a.     Conducting Exercises of Hazop using Proset software

PREREQUISITES


A degree in any  engineering course is desirable, though not required. Previous work experience in an HSE environment will be helpful, but is not essential.


Requirements

An application (such as Google Meet) is required to participate in the programme and for writing your assignments you must have a Gmail account. If you don't already have any of these, you will be provided sources for free, user friendly applications.
